It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Claire Eileen Boutain in Wyandotte, Michigan, born in Lake Leelanau, Michigan, who passed away on October 2, 2023, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Louis Boutain; and her children, Gary Boutain (late Pam), Gloria Harland, Barbara Wenes (Geert), Patricia Smith, James Boutain (Denise), Richard Boutain (Barbara) and Marie Sherfield (George T.). She was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
Dr. Claire has donated her body for scientific research to Wayne State University, her alma mater. Donations in her honor may be made to Capuchin Soup Kitchen or Solanus Casey Center.
