He is survived by: his wife Carol Petri; his children, Deborah Van Cleave (Don), Alexander III Petri (Debra), Diane Dean (Gary), Vicky Bryson (Fred), Christina Driggett (Mary) and James Driggett (Anna); and his grandchildren, Brandon Rodriguez, Garry Dean Jr., Mark Kaleugher, Jason Petri (Melanie), Stephen Kaleugher (Vanessa), Darrell Vassey (Tabatha), Donald Van Cleave II, Elizabeth Basim (Jeff), Erin Stoner (Robert), Loren Higgins (Michael), Jill Froehly (Jake), Jen Witkowski (Jeremy), Josh McCollum (Jessica) and Spencer Drigett (Kallyn).
Visitation was held on Monday, September 23rd 2024 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, September 24th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 24th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Stephen's Episcopal Church (2803 1st St, Wyandotte, MI 48192).
