He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Lonnie Counts and Asalee Counts; his wife Ola; his former wife Aubrey; and his children, Jim Counts (Sylvia) of Benton Harbor, Sandra Lombard (Doug) of Mattawan and Janette Brink (Robert) of Millburg. He was also cherished by his 7 grandchildren; his 11 great grandchildren and his several nieces and nephews.
