He was predeceased by: his wife Theresa Layman; his son David Daniel Rotzein, Jr.; and his son-in-law John "Jack" Dice. He is survived by: his daughters, Bonnie Dice, Sherry Bumgardner (Joe) and Debbie Burks (Scott); his grandchildren, John Dice, Jr. (Christy), Tracie Dice, Jason Burks (Hope), Mackenzie Mroczek (Spencer) and Tyler Burks (Amanda); his great grandchildren, Cody Dice, Travis Dice (Shelby), Daxson Burks, Effie Burks, Lachlan Burks, Brielle Mroczek, Lilliana Mroczek, Kaladin Mroczek, Finnic Burks and Annalise Burks; and his great great grandchild Theo Dice.
