He was predeceased by: his parent C. Fluette; his wife Carolyn J. Merrifield; his siblings, Don King, Marlene Wagaman and Arlon King; and his siblings-in-law, Florence and Junior Drumhiller.
He is survived by: his children, Steven King of Grand Junction, Colorado, Barbara Welke (Thomas) of Benton Harbor, Michigan and Charlotte Thompson (Loren) of Annapolis, Maryland.; and his sister-in-law Sylvia King of New York. He is also survived by his three children, his eight grandchildren, his three great-grandchildren.
