He is survived by: his spouse Laura Darin; his daughter Jillian Wirtel of Grosse Ile; his siblings, Robert Wirtel (Sherry) of Jensen Beach, FL and Nancy Giles (John) of Rockwood, MI; and his grandchildren, Husky and Pacha. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
