She was predeceased by: her parents, Thelo Howard Gifford and Susan Gifford (Hunt); her husband Thurman "T. J." Jack Barrett; and her siblings, Kenneth Gifford, Lucetta Metcalf and Phyllis Hemminger.
She is survived by: her children, Wayne Barrett (Ruth) of Winn, Linda Worgess (Bob Kjorli) of Freeland and Pam Barrett of Indian River; her grandchildren, Cece Kintner (Kevin) of Atlanta, GA, Diane Travis of Grand Rapids, Chris Stovak of Grand Rapids and Spencer Barrett (Ashtin) of St. Louis; her great grandchildren, Michael Allmon (Anne Marie) of Atlanta, GA, Patrick, Sophie and Henry Barrett of St. Louis; and her great great grandchildren, William, Teddy and Callaway Allmon of Atlanta, GA. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Animal Treatment Society or the Winn United Methodist Church.
