It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Tivis Sowards of Willis, Michigan, born in Pikeville, Kentucky, who passed away on September 4, 2020, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Leona Oskey (Oskey); and his children, Karen Bolton (Greg), Bradley, Bryan, Joel (Anna) and Jill Blayer (Jack).

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes for donations to be made to the Alzheimer's Association in Tommy's honor.

“Uncle Tivis was always such a wonderful man. Mother loved the phone conversations with him especially during the last few years of her life. It was always much fun trying to blow his fox horn when we were young. We love him and will always miss him. Sorry to hear this and wish we could be there. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.”
