He was predeceased by: his parents, Forest Murnighan and Francis Murnighan (Hassencahl); his son Mark; his granddaughter Kim; his daughter-in-law Brenda; and his siblings, Maxine and John David.
He is survived by: his wife Norma Cooper; his children, Judy (Mike Toth), Jerry, Cindy (Tim Vance), Laurie (Mike Stoianowski) and Jacque; his sister-in-law Helen; his daughter-in-law Debby Mayne; and his grandchildren, Dawn, Theresa, Peggy, Mike, Ryan, Scott, Derek, Andy, Janice, Erick, Steven, Gabe, Melissa and Lisa. He is also survived by 32 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, as well as several nieces and nephews.
