He was predeceased by: his wife Kay; and his siblings, Ronald Hughes and John Hughes. He is survived by: his daughters, Jeannie Thaxton (Tim) of Williamsburg and Beth Moeggenberg (Marc) of Williamsburg; his grandchildren, Jillian Thaxton of Traverse City, Ross Thaxton (Justine Ewing) of Aurora, IL, Jordan Moeggenberg (Lindsey Kukla) of Traverse City and Brittany Moeggenberg; his great grandchildren, Cameron Marcero (Thaxton) and Kayanna Traore; his siblings, Norman Hughes (Sue) of Metamora, Ernest Hughes of Wolverine, Catherine Fitrakis (Nick) of Redford and Steve Hughes (Barb) of Livonia; his sister-in-law Karen Bartski (Dave); and his fiancée Linda Belcher. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
