He is survived by: his wife Alice of Whittemore; his children, Rick Barnes (Carol) of Hale, Gary Barnes (Kim) of Whittemore, Tina Rider (Brian) of St. Augustine, FL and Carrie Shafer (Don) of East Tawas; his stepchildren, Karen Schulte (Tom Pirgle) of Webberville, Patti Swyers, Sandy Schmidt of Clarkston and Clinton Kennedy of Hale; and his siblings, Eilert Barnes (Betty) of Whittemore and Ruth Clements (Jim) of Whittemore. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren.
