He was predeceased by: his wife Marilyn Mitchell; his parents, Franklin Mitchell and Mamie Mitchell (Chatman); his brother Darell Mitchell; and his son-in-law Paul Ogg.

He is survived by: his daughters, Karen Campbell (Stephen) of Pinckney and Kristen Mitchell of Dexter; and his grandchildren, Jack, Sarah, Katie and Ellie.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to the Academy of Model Aeronautics Foundation, 5161 E. Memorial Dr., Muncie, IN 47302, (modelaircraft.org/give) in honor of Tom's passion for model aviation.
