Gilbert (Merrlene) of Manistee, Courtney Gilbert of Manistee, Todd Gilbert of Ludington, Geri Ellen Suckko of Texas and Debra Dill of Texas; his grandchild Tommy Gilbert; and his siblings, Marjorie Rudnick (Bob), Ernest Gilbert Sr (Rose), Lucille Howe, Jim Gilbert (Mackie), Bob Gilbert (Mary), Alice Garboske (Walt), Maxine Youngs, Buck Gilbert (Gloria), Kathy Gilbert and Helen Garvey (Jim). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
