He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Bowen and Mary Chaplin (Tyler); his brothers, William and David Bowen; his siblings-in-law, Diane Tardani and Claude Rust; his nephews, Kirk Bowen and Dean DeGroot; and his niece Deanna Block.
He is survived by: his wife Susan K. Rust; his children, Mary Lynn and Brett Bowen (Erika); his sisters, Barbara DeGroot (Bill) and Mindy Fernandes (Greg); his siblings-in-law, Sandi Frein (Marvin) and Edward Rust (Gail); and his grandchildren, Adelaine and Nolan Bowen. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
