It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sylvia Ann Vanderleest (Whitehall, Michigan), born in Saginaw, Michigan, who passed away on May 5, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Lodes and Wanda Ruth Reading; her husbands, Norman Carslake, Donald Talmadge and Gordon Vanderleest; her brother Arthur Reading; and her grandson Christopher Hutchins.
She is survived by: her children, Norman Talmadge (Patti), SueEllen Larmore (Jeffery), Vernon Talmadge (Sonya), Steven Talmadge and Kristi Brogan (Dan); her siblings, Laurie Kilbourne, Bobbi Thompson, Kellie Lodes Krane, Walt (Butch), John and Greg Lodes; her cousin Barbie Gajeski; and her sister-in-law Lois Nealey. She is also survived by ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
