He was predeceased by: his father Vernon Smith. He is survived by: his mother Florence Smith; his siblings, Bev Smith-Welborn, Vernon L. "Buzz" Smith, Jimmie Grant (Jen) and Nancy; his great-nephews, Steven Johnson, Carl Welborn (Michele) and Bastian Welborn (Ashleigh); his niece Nichole Welborn; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Christian Welborn, Matthew Welborn, Ashton Haworth, Devyn Welborn, Sheldon Welborn, Addison Hardy, Savannah Welborn, Serenity Welborn, Sofiya Ward and Kayleigh Welborn; his close friend Adam Urbanawiz (Kristie); his aunts, Sheila Vanderslute (Dan) and Rainie Doughty; and his cousins, Karen Ovall, Robert Gordon (Lynn) and Adam Smith. He is also survived by many cousins, friends.
