He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parent Shirley Carpenter (Feier); his wife Susan; his siblings, Lois Semen (Rudi) of Lansing and Kevin Carpenter (Cindy) of Tennessee; his siblings-in-law, Charley Green (LeAnn) of Charlotte and Marguerite Burkhead (Doug) of Williamsburg; his father Edward W. Carpenter; and his nephew LCpl Andrew Carpenter. He was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews.
