It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Jay Rypma of Whitehall, Michigan, who passed away on December 24, 2021, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Harm Rypma and Anna Rypma (VanSpronsen); his wife Jeanne Kuizema; his children, Esther Day (Geoff), Jill Sikkenga (Steve), Harlan Rypma (Donna), David Rypma (Lyn), Virginia Weesies (Kent) and Curtis Rypma (Kim); his grandchildren, Justin Day, Morgan Day (Allie), Michael Sikkenga (Ericka), Sarah Balon (Brian), Anna O'Neill (Casey), Rosalie Rapas, Daniel Rypma (Beth), Kevin Rypma, Elizabeth Rypma-Wendt (Chris), Katie Bultema (Nick), Kelly Hoezee (Andy), Dexter Weesies (Amy), Kendra VanAndel (Nick), Conner Rypma, Colin Rypma (Rachel) and Kayce Rypma; his brother Richard Hamming (Tena); his stepsister Joanne Sonneveldt (Chris); and his sister Anne "Geraldine" Slagter. He was also cherished by many great-grandchildren.
