It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Philip Kolehmainen Sr. (White Pine, Michigan), born in Hancock, Michigan, who passed away on June 25, 2019, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Irene Kuopus (Holappa) and Ernest Kolehmainen; his brother Lowell Kolehmainen; and his brothers-in-law, Dale Koski (Eileen) and Ernest Koski (Diane).
He is survived by: his wife Sigrid of White Pine; his children, Philip Kolehmainen Jr. (Robin) and Jill Senkerik (Jeff); his grandchildren, Aaron Kolehmainen of Marinette, WI, Adam Guernsey of Milwaukee, WI, Jenna Guernsey of Green Bay, WI., Alyson Senkerik of Rochester, MN, Rachel Mansur and Kara Senkerik of Omro, WI.; and his siblings-in-law, Gilbert Koski (Diane) of Norway, MI and Kariina Kelson (Paul) of Sedona, AZ.. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nephews, nieces.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to the Ontonagon County Cancer Association or the Ontonagon County Animal Protection as Phil adored his grand dogs.
