He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard Sutton and Julia Sutton (Young); his daughter Christi Sutton; his grandson Jared Sutton; and his brother-in-law Charles Forster.

He is survived by: his wife Betty Sutton; his sons, Aaron Sutton, Sean Sutton, Roger Owen and Richard Owen; his granddaughter Olivia Sue Sutton; and his sister Holly Forster. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
