With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Merle Leister of White Pigeon, Michigan, born in Stoughton, Saskatchewan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 24, 2024 at the age of 86. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Brewer and Ivah Brewer (Cody); her siblings, Jim, George, Ken, Dan, Charley, Hazel Horowitz and Florence Parker; and her grandson Brandon Willems.
She is survived by: her husband Larry; her daughters, Lorene Willems (Robert) of Greenville, Wisconsin, Connie Leighton (Robert) of Mendon, Michigan and Cathy Thurston (Ron) of Lakeview; her stepson Larry Jr. of New Era, Michigan; her grandchildren, Matthew Willems of Prior Lake, MN, Courtney Haley (Caleb) of Antioch, IL, Luke Willems of Madison, WI, Elisa Leighton (Chris Baldwin) of Galesburg, MI, Kylene Barnell of Indianapolis, IN, Arianna Guy (Shawn) of Sturgis, MI, Gabrielle Roberts (Josh) of Mendon, MI, Olivia Leighton of Seattle, WA, Alexis Beagle (Sam) of Grand Rapids, MI, Sean Brandli (Chelsea) of Sheridan, MI and Shannon Moody (Lucas) of Belding, MI; her great grandchild Kinsley Haley; her grandchildren, Ian Himes, Stark Swartzentruber, Ki'Va, Nevaeh Guy, Willow and Lilly Brandli; and her brothers, Harold Brewer of Washington and Earl Brewer (Sylvia) of Tennessee. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
