He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore Hayes and Darlene Hayes (Leister); the mother of his children Cherryl Hayes (Lutz); his half-siblings, Theodore Hayes, Charles Hayes, Louise Long and Virginia Hanson; and his siblings-in-law, Penny Hayes and Richard Mansfield.
He is survived by: his wife Jamie Hayes; his children, Derrick Hayes (Dawn) and Sarah Rousch (Brady); his stepchildren, Heather Cantarella (Nick), Colon and David Layton, Jr. (Brooks); his grandchildren, Dustin Grames (Jordan), Tyler Graber, Blake Graber, Dalton Quintanilla (Josh), Daryan Hayes, Deegan Hayes, Aurora Cantarella, Nicholas Cantarella, David Layton III, Abigail Layton and Seth Layton; his siblings, Dennis Hayes and Diana Wright (Richard); and his half-sister Beverly Mansfield of Tuscon, AZ. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
