He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Chambers and Benjamin Chambers; and his sisters, Helen (Jerry), Peggy (James) and Winnie.

He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Joan; his children, Benjamin (Mary), Julia (Donald), Elizabeth Becky (Todd) and Alexander (Jennifer); and his grandchildren, Ellen, Avery, Ellis, Kelly, Nolan, Kate and Isla. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and extended family.
