He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert L. Smith and Alma H. Smith (Meeuwenberg); his brother Robert Smith; and his brothers-in-law, James L. Silverthorn and Carl D. Westcomb.
He is survived by: his siblings, Darlene Westcomb of White Cloud, Gloria Silverthorn of White Cloud, Pamela Newfer (Andy) of White Cloud, Allen Smith (Vicki) of Savannah, Tennessee, Brenda Williams (Dan) of Grant and Tina Daniels (Gary) of Colorado Springs, Colorado. He is also survived by 20 nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews.
