He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Whitehead and Marguerite Whitehead (McDonald); and his grandson Jonathon. He is survived by: his wife Janice Whitehead of Wetmore; his children, Nicole Whitehead of Three Rivers, Joey Whitehead (Carol) of Three Rivers, Katie Whitehead of Munising, Susie Palomaki (Tim) of Munising and George Whitehead (Tabitha) of Wetmore; his grandchildren, Rachel, Emily, Taylor, Makayla, Hannah, Jacob, Joshua, Joseph, Rebekah, Logan and Cole; his great grandchild Elena; and his siblings, James Whitehead (Kay) of Galesburg and JoAnn Roberts (Lewis) of Three Rivers. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Per Garold's wishes, a closed casket visiting time with family and friends will be held at the Bowerman Funeral Home in Munising on Friday, December 11, 2020 from 1:00 until 4:45 p. m. CoVid precautions and attendance regulations will be observed as directed by the MDHHS. Masks will be required, and the funeral home staff will be assisting with social distancing.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to be made to a charity of one's choice in Garold's name.
