He is survived by: his children, Karen Hanses (Steve), Linda Ludwick, Gary Schneider (Marilyn) and Denise Simon (Neil); his grandchildren, Jeremy, Justin, Ryan, Kyle, Josh, Marisa, Jessica, Damon, Matt and Scott; his great grandchildren, Lauren, Kalyssa, Forrest, Caleb, Reece and Noah; and his parents-in-law, Rose Smith (Jerome), Rich Bengel (Alice), Aggie George (Charlie), Gladys Bengel and Mary Ann Thelen. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
