She was predeceased by: her parents, Hilary Snitgen and Bernita Snitgen (Simon); her husband Donald Thelen; her son-in-law Phil Kramer; her great grandchild Ellis Smith; her siblings, Bernadette (Herm), Dorothea (Melvin), Eileen (Edward), Frederick (Dolores) and Larry; and her in-laws, Richard, Edward, Bernadette and Bernadine.
She is survived by: her children, Lee Thelen (Karen), Marti Thelen (Dawn), Tina Smith (Dave), Nita Panwas (Ed) and Amy Bearss (Paul); and her siblings-in-law, Delbert Thelen (Joyce), Dennis Thelen (Marj), Phyllis Thelen and Karen Thelen. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren.
A rosary was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 1:30 PM at the St. Mary's Funeral Chapel (210 N Westphalia St, Westphalia, MI 48894). Visitation was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (201 N Westphalia St, Westphalia, MI 48894). A committal service was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery (201 N Westphalia St, Westphalia, MI 48894).
