It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joey Richard Bengel (Westphalia, Michigan), who passed away on February 4, 2024, at the age of 57, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Bobby Bengel; his parents-in-law, Gus and Laura Pline; his siblings-in-law, Gina Hengesbach and Peter Pung; his nephew Noah Thelen; and his great-nephew Lucas Spitzley.
He is survived by: his wife Kelly; his children, Alyssa Lenneman (Kaleb), Hannah Koenigsknecht (Ryan), Drew Bengel (Leah) and Dominic Bengel; his grandchildren, Kayna, Kalia, Lenneman, Emmett Koenigsknecht and Rosalyn Bengel; his siblings, Kurt Bengel (Brenda), Gail Spitzley (Eugene), Debbie Prince (Mike) and Angie Thelen (Tony); and his in-laws, Dianne Schafer (Bruce), Connie Pung, Danny Pline, Pete Pline (John Suckow), Janet Feldpausch (Doug), Mike Hengesbach, Gene Pline (Shell) and Kris Pline (Chris).
For those wishing, a contribution may be made to the St. Mary's Cemetery in honor of Joe.
