With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joan Platte (Westphalia, Michigan), born in Fowler, Michigan, who passed away on April 29, 2018 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Theis and Julia Theis (Stump); her husband Kenneth; her siblings, Bernadette Pung, Jerome Theis and Julius Theis; and her nieces and nephews, Gary Pung, Steven Theis, Joel Platte, Jim Platte, Karen Fedewa and Debra Platte.
She is survived by: her children, Julie Vandermeer (Michael) of Manchester, Kathy Mountz (James) of Pittsburgh, Laurie Breza (Mark) of Fremont and Michael Platte (Amanda) of Westphalia; and her grandchildren, Andrea, Caitlyn, Erica, Jacob, Jammie, Krissy, Jenny, Ellie, Vicky, Alexandra, Samantha, Julia, Kenneth, Cassie, Aaron and Annie. She is also survived by wife, mother and grandmother.
