She was predeceased by: her sisters-in-law, Alice Hoover and Trudy Schafer (Jerome); her stepsiblings, Joan Thelen of Westphalia, Clair Thelen (Catherine) of Westphalia, Rosemary Nurenberg (John) of Westphalia, Virginia Drake (Melvin) of Westphalia, Tom Thelen (Barbara) of St. Johns and Linda Thelen (Donald) of Eagle; her grandson Daniel; and her siblings, Richard, Raymond Smith and Diane Luna.
She is survived by: her husband Michael Schmitz; her children, Steven, Kim Armbrustmacher (Ron), Michelle Schmitt (Bruce) and Vicki Pohl (Brian); her grandchildren, Jackson Schmitz, Katie, Kevin, Brian, David, Adam Armbrustmacher, Emily, Abbey and Ella Pohl; her siblings, Jerome Smith (Rose) of Westphalia, Edward Smith (Ann) of Westphalia, Albert Smith (Carolee) of Westphalia, Kathy Fox (Ambrose) of Portland and Patrick Luna of Portland; and her close friends, Rosie and Dewey Howard.
