He was predeceased by: his father Charles Hengesbach; and his siblings, Gail Jegla and Vernon Hengesbach. He is survived by: his mother Janet Hengesbach (Johnson); his wife Elizabeth "Libby" Hengesbach; his stepsons, Jon Vorisek and Justin Vorisek (Chelsie); his sisters, Kathleen Hengesbach, Patricia Thelen (Jeffry), LeeAnn Thelen (Doug) and Geri Hengesbach; and his brother-in-law Dennis Jegla (Shelly). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

For those wishing, memorial contributions may be made to Knights of Columbus or the family's wishes in honor of Gary.
