He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward J. Thelen and Wilhelmenia "Minnie" Thelen (Stump); his siblings, Richard Thelen, Donald Thelen (Therese), Edward "Skip" Thelen, Bernadette Thelen and Bernadine Thelen; and his mother-in-law Eleanor Bedenbender.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Bedenbender; his children, Tami Feldpausch (Bob), Randy Thelen (Darci), Julie Rudolph (Gary), Chris Thelen (Linda), Tim Thelen (Janice), Shawn Thelen (Jackie Schacher) and Ted Thelen (Christi); his grandchildren, Derik (Anne), Nathan (Emily), Troy Feldpausch (Lauren), Kelsey Droste (John), Amanda Bennett (Kyle), Alex Thelen (Ayesha) and Angela Serdahely (Kevin); his great grandchildren, Ben, Amelia, Josh, Evan, Andy, Nick, Lane, Bryce, Leah, Rory, Wren, Edie, Isobel, Eliza, Sophie and Aydin; his stepgrandchildren, Matt (Angela), Chris (Jenny) and Cam Rudolph (Ashley); his stepgreat-grandchildren, Luke, Jack, Hudson, Hannah, Mason and Henry; and his siblings-in-law, Phyllis Thelen, Karen Thelen, Dennis Thelen (Margie) and Perry Bedenbender. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
