He was predeceased by: his mother Antoinette Stephanick; his son Tommy (Joni); and his siblings, Agnes, John, Joe, Marion, Joann, Ed, Bill, Frank and Chuckie.
He is survived by: his father John Kozak; his wife Bongchae; his children, Susan Johnson (Tim), Margaret Lourdes, Chaim (April), Helaina Knoppe (Jonny), Rebekah McMullen (Derek), Zion, Elijah (Frances), Isaiah, Glory, Keziah Sigman (Mitchell) and Enoch; his grandchildren, Leah, Emilia, Tommy, Jason, Jordan, Faith, Shane, Scarlett, Zoe, Matilda, Sawyer and Noah; and his siblings, Richard, Leonard, Bob and Patty. He is also survived by his family, who will remember him as a loving, devoted father, husband, grandfather, and friend.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the L. J. Griffin Funeral Home (8809 Wayne Rd, Livonia, MI 48150). The lying in state was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Our Joy Catholic Church (8200 N Wayne Rd, Westland, MI 48185). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
