It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Herbert Joseph Rockwell III of Westland, Michigan, who passed away on March 5, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Rita Rockwell; his daughter Kathleen Ritter (Bob); his grandchildren, Robert Ritter (Mindy) and Amy Margaret Ritter; and his great grandchildren, Caden Ritter, Ella Ritter and Emma Ritter.

Visitation was held on Sunday, March 16th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Vermeulen-Sajewski Funeral Home (980 N Newburgh Rd, Westland, MI 48185). A memorial service was held on Sunday, March 16th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.

Memorial contributions may be made to Sacred Heart Major Seminary, 2701 Chicago Blvd., Detroit, MI 48206.
