With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Andrea M. Gioia of Westland, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 7, 2024 at the age of 59. As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Andrea may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Bernardino Gioia Sr. and Kathleen Ann Kramer; and her daughter Julia M. Koinis. She is survived by: her daughter Jessica A. Koinis; her siblings, Jill M Gioia, Kathryn E. Katzman (Dave) and James B Gioia Jr. (Ken Loynes); and her niece Nycole M. Rich (Matt).
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 15th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM and on Monday, December 16th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM. A rosary was held on Sunday, December 15th 2024 at 4:00 PM at the O'Brien Sullivan Funeral Home (41555 Grand River Ave, Novi, MI 48375). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the St. James Catholic Church (46325 W 10 Mile Rd, Novi, MI 48374).
