He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerit Meeuwsen and Janet Meeuwsen; and his siblings, Nelson, Howard, Preston Meeuwsen, Lenora Blaukamp and Joyce Veldheer.

He is survived by: his wife Marilyn; his children, Gregory Meeuwsen (Diana), Douglas Meeuwsen (Maria) and Nancy Meeuwsen; his grandchildren, Aila Meeuwsen, Marcella Nocon (Tim) and Mario Rodriguez (Arielle); his great grandchild Lucas Nocon; his grandchildren, Catalina Perez, Andrew Ball and Sawyer Ball; his sister Norma DeVries (Ron); and his sisters-in-law, Joan Meeuwsen and Joyce DeMott.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to one of the many charitable organizations that were important to Gordon: Habitat for Humanity, Salesian Missions, St. Joseph's Indian School, or the American Legion.
