Bernard Jay Schipper Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Bernard Jay Schipper (West Olive, Michigan), who passed away on October 9, 2024 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Almon Schipper and Laura Schipper; and his siblings-in-law, Roger Headley Sr. and Sharon Headley. He is survived by: his daughters, Tammie TenBroeke (Robert), Shelly Hendricks (Jason) and Kristi Bonstell (Nick); his grandchildren, Caleb TenBroeke (Cortlyn), Madison Bolman (Ross), Keaton Hendricks, Jenna Hendricks, Colton Bonstell, Bailey Bonstell and Angela Bonstell; his wife Nina Headley; his siblings, Robert Schipper, Sandy Rassamusen (Bill), Bev Olson (Eric) and Nancy Doorlag (Dave); and his in-laws, Kathryn Headley, Sandy Headley, Elmer Headley, Harold Headley (Barb) and Peter Headley (Cathy). He is also survived by his children, grandchildren, and many friends.
A memorial service was held on Sunday, October 13th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the First Reformed Church (11939 James St, Holland, MI 49424). A funeral service was held on Monday, October 14th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Ottawa Reformed Church (11390 Stanton St, West Olive, MI 49460).
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Corewell Hospice or to the Ottawa Reformed Church Building Fund.
