He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Meir and Ailene Meir (Winter); his siblings, Marjorie Rey Froufe, Helen Reetz (Gerald) and Benny Meir; his grandson Chad Thomas-Alan Meir; and his former wife Mary Meir.
He is survived by: his children, Jerry Meir (Rita) of Marysville, WA, Janice Winstead (Wayne) of Pacolet, SC, Jamie Meir of Waterford, MI and Samantha Meir (Matthew Irvine) of West Branch; his wife Judy Goodboo of Pacolet, SC; his sisters, Linda Stephens (Harold) of West Branch and Leona Dezsi (David) of Southgate, MI; and his brother-in-law Juan Rey Froufe of Canada. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
