She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Scott and Harriet Scott (Green); her husband LaVerne Short Sr.; her sons, Carl Kline Jr., Kelvin Kline and LaVerne "Sonny" Short; and her brother Thomas Scott Jr..
She is survived by: her children, Daniel Morgan of Flint, Cathy Short of Whittemore and James Kline of Prescott. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
