He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Meir and Correan Meir (Clemens); his brother Bernard Meir; and his siblings-in-law, Leah Meir and James Nichols.
He is survived by: his siblings, David Meir (Denise) of Flint, Clayton Meir (Debbie) of West Branch, Thomas Meir (Sharon) of West Branch, Geraldine Wakefield (David) of Rose City, Flora Nichols of Bancroft, MI and Mike Heideman (Roz). He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
