He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Barnhart and Charlotte Barnhart (Tompkins); his sisters, Carol Barnhart and Janet Warner; and his brothers-in-law, Walt Warner and Ralph Loss.
He is survived by: his wife Katherine Marie Schading; his children, John Barnhart, Jr. (Deena) of Skandia, Michelle Scott (Tom) of Mountain Iron, MN, Sue Jandreau (Don) and Steve Barnhart (Jamie) of Skandia; and his siblings, Betty Loss of Geneva, NY, Lynn Bodine (David) of Stanley, NY and Jim Barnhart (Peggy) of Syracuse, NY. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins; and his canine companion, Buddy.
