Amy Ilene Neumann Obituary
Amy Ilene Neumann, formerly of Roger City, passed away peacefully on January 16, 2025, in West Branch, Michigan. Born on March 9, 1956, in Alpena, Michigan, to the late Jim and Dorothy (Howick) Neumann. Amy's life was a testament to the joy and love she brought to everyone she encountered.
She is survived by a loving family that includes her son, Michael (Sara) Neumann; grandson, Nickolas (Denise) Neumann; and great-grandson, Lucius Neumann. Her siblings, Gus (Penny) Neumann, Susan Neumann, Cindy Neumann, and Mark (Heather) Neumann, along with numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, will hold her memory close to their hearts. Amy shared a unique and special bond with her great-niece and nephew, Noah and Anna Ross, who cherished their visits with her at the Villa. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Dorothy (Howick) Neumann, her brother Dennis Neumann, and her great-granddaughter, Helena Neumann.
Amy's professional life was as rewarding as it was impactful, having served with love and care as a Crossing-guard for Rogers City schools. Her affection for the children she guided safely each day was evident to all who knew her. Amy's nurturing nature extended to her parents, whom she took care of diligently until their passing.
Her love for life was reflected in her many passions. Amy was an avid collector of Elmo memorabilia, surrounding herself with her favorite Elmo stuffed animals, shirts, and a cherished Elmo blanket. Her collection of Christmas bears and Precious Moments trinkets and knickknacks brought her immense joy. She took great pleasure in watching wildlife, especially deer. Amy's creative side flourished through her hobbies, which included cross-stitch and plastic canvas crafts. The melodies of Queen and Willie Nelson provided the soundtrack to her life, echoing her eclectic and vibrant personality.
Amy Ilene Neumann's legacy is one of love, warmth, and the simple pleasures that make life beautiful. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her. As we remember Amy, we celebrate a life lived with grace and the countless moments of happiness she gave to the world.
Per Amy's wishes, cremation has taken place, and no service is scheduled at this time.
