She was predeceased by: her spouse Rhode M. Jesena; and her siblings, Zenaida, Antonio, Violetta and Eduardo.

She is survived by: her children, Emilio Jesena, Maria Schroeder (Matt), Jenny Matten (Mark) and Rhode Jesena (Carrie); her grandchildren, Joe Matten, Mark Matten, Nicole Schroeder and Catherine Jesena; and her siblings, Maximiano, Dinah and George.

Visitation was held on Friday, September 27th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Vermeulen-Sajewski Funeral Home (46401 Ann Arbor Rd, Plymouth, MI 48170). The lying in state was held on Saturday, September 28th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. John Neumann Catholic Church (44800 Warren Rd, Canton, MI 48187). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, September 28th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Tess' memory may be made to the Blessed Solanus Casey Center.
