He was predeceased by: his brothers, Dr. Manuel Kaner (Faye), Dr. Albert Kaner (Pauline) and Bernard Kaner (Judith). He is survived by: his daughters, Deborah Laraby (Joshua) and Lisa Schwartz (late Steven); his grandchildren, Ryan Kaner Schwartz and Asher Schwartz; his stepgrandchildren, Lala Laraby and Cael Laraby; and his siblings-in-law, Jeffrey Tackel and Lauren Platt Tackel. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
A funeral service was held on Sunday, March 2nd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Dorfman Chapel- Main Chapel. A shiva was held on Sunday, March 2nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, March 4th 2025.
