It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Norma Portney Sugar of West Bloomfield, Michigan, who passed away on January 15, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Norma Portney Sugar to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her husbands, Harry Portney and Maurice Sugar; her boyfriend Bill McNabb; her parents, Benjamin Bernstein and Yetta Bernstein; and her brother Edward Bernstein (Reid).
She is survived by: her daughter Lisa Portney-Goldenberg (David Pappas); her grandchildren, Hailee Goldenberg, Dustin Goldenberg, Jeremy Pappas (Abbie) and Kayla Tavor (Elan); and her great grandchildren, Yoni, Koby Pappas, Andrew, Alexa and Arianna Tavor. She is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, and many cherished friends.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Ira Kaufman Chapel (18325 W Nine Mile Rd, Southfield, MI 48075). A burial will be held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Adat Shalom Memorial Park Cemetery (28500 Six Mile Rd, Livonia, MI 48152).
