He was predeceased by: his parents, Stephen Duncan and Etta Pearl Slater (Joslin); and his brother James Slater. He is survived by: his wife Rita Marie Harris; his children, Scott Slater of Mayville, Brice Slater (Jennifer) of Columbiaville, Stephanie Rulason of Burton, Robert Sharrard of Caro and Stacey Fisher (Richard) of Deford; and his brothers, Max Slater of Mayville and Jack Slater (Judy) of Kingsport, TN.. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter.
