He was predeceased by: his parents, Louie Smit and Velia Smit (Hubka). He is survived by: his children, Robyn Watkins (Mike) of Wyoming, MI, Terri Reser (Terry) of Lake Odessa, Michelle Blough (Martin) of Lowell, Louie Smit (Pennie) of Weidman and Nita Stevens (Dean); and his sisters, Barbara Wolfe and Laura Smit of Florida. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
