He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Smith and Opal Smith; his wife Marie Smith; and his children, Gary Neeley and Karen Monroe.
He is survived by: his children, Sharon Mull (Tom), William Howe (Teresa) and Debi Buchman (Mike); his daughter-in-law Colleen Neeley; his grandchildren, Jodi Raymond (Tim), Tracy Vansplintern (Chad), Heather Thomson (Josh), Brandi Johnson (Nathan), Valerie Nelson (Derrick), Sherri Harrell (John), Maggie Golomski, Felicia Howe, Amanda Duckworth (Colton), Gary Neeley (Carmen) and Zachary Howe (Skylar); and his nieces and nephews, Steven, Edward, James, Jennifer, Charles and Laura. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Alcoholics Anonymous.
