He is survived by: his sons, Kenneth Oplinger (Vicki) and Edward Oplinger (Sandy); his sister Doris Tiani (Denny); his sisters-in-law, Eileen Rau and Kay McDonald; and his grandchildren, Ashleigh Higgins, Trevor Oplinger (Kristin), Emily Battle (Dustin), Kacy Brown (Jay), Ahren, Kaelyn, Ellery, Layne, Gabby, Jordan, Gracelynn, Jaydence, Jayvian and Owen. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
