She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd L. Bailey and Josephine L. Bailey (Fountain); her friend Virgil Loomis; her son Virgil D. Loomis Jr.; and her siblings, Jim Bailey, Floyd Bailey and Anna MacDonald.

She is survived by: her husband Virgil Loomis; her children, Barbara Coffell (Kevin) of Weidman, Allen Loomis (Jane) of Rosebush, Andrew Loomis of Weidman, Linda Coffell (Andrew) of Kalamazoo, Kathleen Gates of Weidman, Jeffery Loomis (Norma Anderson) of Weidman, Sandra Clevenger (Dan) of Remus and Rebecca James (Christopher) of Weidman; and her siblings, Charles "Ed" Bailey, Donald Bailey (Florence), Bill Bailey, Marie Fountain, Deloris McAllister (Michael), Fran VanBuskirk (Ron), Joyce Donley and Mamie. She is also survived by two cats, two dogs and a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews and close friends.

Memorial donations in Dorothy's name can be made to the funeral home to help with final expenses.
